Welcome to the Stoke Newington Business Assocation (SNBA).

The Stoke Newington Business Assocation was set up in 2005, and currently has a membership of upwards of 80 businesses in the area. 

It covers Stoke Newington High Street and Stoke Newington Church Street and the surrounding roads, bordered east at Stoke Newington Common, west at the end of Church St, north at Manor Road and south at Amhurst Road. 

The Stoke Newington Business Association was set up to act for and on behalf of businesses in the local community, to enhance the shopping environment and to help the area to continue to prosper. It lobbies on issues relating to the business and residential community.

CHURCH STREET WORKS MAY AFFECT YOUR BUSINESS! - 05 June 2009
Hackney Council propose to begin works intended to improve Church St,  in August 09. A consultation with local businesses and residents will take place during the latter weeks of June 09.
Work will last between 4 and 8 months, and will include:
- renewing pavements, widening them where possible for better pedestrian access
- reducing amount of signage
- traffic calming measures such as reducing speed limit to 20mph, builing up the surface at road junctions to create 'tables', introduce traffic lights at the junction with Albion Road
